DENON PMA-800NE stereo amplifier
Product description
The Denon PMA-800NE integrated amplifier sets new heights in premium audio performance with digital inputs and built-in phono equalizer. With an output of 85 W (4 Ohms) per channel, the PMA-800NE provides enough power for the speakers to sound optimally. Connect your favorite components to the PMA-800NE via the three optical and one coaxial digital inputs.
Build integrity with carefully selected ingredients
With more than 100 years of experience designing premium audio components, you can trust that Denon's products have undergone rigorous testing. The entire aesthetic, sound quality and design integrity of the DCD-800NE and Hi-Fi components are built to last.
Analog Mod
Analog mode allows the PMA-800NE to operate as a purely analog amplifier, turning off the coaxial and optical digital inputs while listening to an analog source. Enter analog mode to cut off power from the dedicated digital power source and stop the digital input circuitry from operating, avoiding high-frequency effects on the analog part of the PMA-800NE. Enjoy your favorite analog sources with undisturbed clarity and detailed reproduction.
MM / MC phono equalizer
The PMA-800NE includes a turntable EQ that supports both MM and MC pickups. This turntable equalizer is high gain and incorporates a printed circuit solution that minimizes negative side effects in sound quality, so the "simple and straightforward" design is a significant improvement.
Anti-vibration design for crystal clear sound
The anti-vibration design reduces the adverse sound effects of the heavy components of the amplifiers, so the sound quality meets Denon standards. The power transformer - which is the biggest source of vibration among the amplifier components - is equipped with a 1.6 mm thick steel plate, which suppresses the vibrations created by the transformer, as well as the external vibration directed towards the transformer. By directly supporting the transformer with a steel plate, the vibration surrounding the chassis is reduced, resulting in a clear sound.
Optical and Coaxial Digital Inputs
The PMA-800NE has three optical inputs and one coaxial input and supports 192 kHz / 24-bit PCM signals. These digital inputs help improve the sound quality of your TV, Blu-Ray, and media player. You can use it to input high-resolution audio from your computer's audio source.
Main transformer with separate wires
To eliminate interference and maintain exceptional sound quality, the PMA-800NE's main power transformer has separately wound wires for the audio and control circuits. The integrated microprocessor provides Stop mode for even better sound quality while listening to music.
Micro-processor shutdown mode
The PMA-800NE's microprocessor has a shutdown mode that automatically shuts down all microprocessor operations when not required for playback. By stopping the vibrations of the microprocessor clock, it protects the audio signal from external noise while listening to music and increases the sound quality.
Signal Level Divided Construction (S.L.D.C.)
The Denon-developed Signal Level Divided Construction (SLDC) chassis in the audio circuit ensures that subtle musical signals are faithfully amplified and transmitted to the speakers. Listen to music in impeccable quality, every time.
