This USB 3.0 cable is designed to provide power to your USB 3.0 device, e.g. When connecting a 2.5" or 3.5" HDD to a notebook or computer. So you don't need an additional power supply to operate the device. Thanks to the size of the cable, it enables a secure connection between your device and your system, both in terms of data flow and power supply.

Note: To operate a 3.5 HDD without extra power, you must connect the HDD to an active USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 port
