This Delock USB 2.0 to RS-232 adapter extends a serial RS-232 port via a USB Type-A connector on your computer. It is designed for POS systems, printers, modems and IoT devices that still rely on a classic serial connection. The adapter features a DB9 male connector with screw nuts for a secure fit and a compact housing measuring 39.0 x 33.0 x 14.7 mm.

The FTDI FT232R chipset supports data transfer rates of up to 921.6 Kbps. It handles the signals TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, DCD, RI and GND, with selectable parity, 1 or 2 stop bits, 7 or 8 data bits, and flow control via Xon/Xoff or RTS/CTS. Buffers provide 128 bytes for receive and 256 bytes for transmit.

The cable is approximately 1.8 m long and works with Windows 10/11, macOS 12.4 or later, Linux kernel 5.15 or later, and Chrome OS. The package includes the adapter and a user manual.
