The Delock PCI Express riser card connects a PCIe x16 socket module to a separate x16 slot via a cable about 30 cm long. It lets you reposition a PCIe expansion card, such as a graphics card, away from the motherboard, which is useful in custom cases, vertical GPU mounts and compact PC builds.
The riser supports the PCI Express 5.0 protocol, with data transfer rates of up to 32 GT/s. The interface is backward compatible with PCIe 4.0, 3.0 and earlier standards, so it can also be used with older components. The slot sits at a 90-degree angle, and the cable has a 29 AWG thickness.
The adapter works independently of the operating system, so no driver installation is required. It comes in a plain white box and has a black finish.
