This Delock USB 2.0 to RS-232 adapter connects a PC or laptop's USB Type-A port to a serial RJ45 console port, making it suitable for configuring CISCO routers, switches, access points and other compatible devices. It is built around the FTDI FT232R chipset and supports data transfer rates of up to 230.4 kbit/s. Parity, stop bits, data bits and flow control (Xon/Xoff or RTS/CTS) can be set to match the target device.

The adapter provides a 128-byte RX FIFO and a 256-byte TX FIFO. Its cable is approximately 1.8 m long, giving flexible placement at the console connection. It is supported on Linux kernel 2.6 and newer, as well as Windows 10 and 11.

The package contains one USB 2.0 serial adapter in a resealable plastic bag.
