Paths of development - The psychology of the third millennium

Mihály Csíkszentmihályi's highly successful book sheds light on how we can rise above our evolutionary heritage and become conscious shapers of our chaotic world in order to create a more harmonious and livable planet for ourselves in the third millennium.

We are responsible for the development of our future, and we cannot escape this responsibility with the excuse that the future is determined by fate or chance. According to the author, our genetically coded personality traits, which effectively helped us become human and reproduce during evolution, have now become factors that threaten our lives and the world. But if we are able to become active and conscious participants in the development process, both in our own lives and in the world, it not only fills us with joy, but also gives meaning to our lives. The world-famous Hungarian-born psychologist's highly successful book Flow introduced the reader to the psychology of the perfect experience. The Paths of Development tries to draw attention to the biggest challenges and most urgent tasks facing humanity, all the while emphasizing that the way to complete the world is primarily through ourselves.
