CREATIVE Sound Blaster Audigy Fx v2

Product description
Creative has added a new product to its popular Sound Blaster range, and the newcomer is none other than the second generation edition of Audigy FX, the Audigy FX V2. The new version promises better sound quality, can be further developed using a separate expansion card, and SmartComms software is also available, which makes online communication even smoother.
The new version offers 5.1-channel surround sound, a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB, while the total harmonic distortion remains below 0.004%. In addition to the new sound card, both standard and low-profile PCI backplanes are available, and the product itself is 117.4 millimeters wide, 121 millimeters long and 21.6 millimeters high, i.e. it requires only one slot in the housing. The headphone amplifier can handle headphones from 32 ohms up to 600 ohms, of course also in TRRS design, i.e. the use of headsets with microphones is no obstacle either.
The novelty can work with a maximum resolution of 24-bits and a sampling frequency of 192 kHz when it comes to playback, while in the case of recording in mono mode, a 24-bit resolution and a sampling frequency of 96 kHz are available via the microphone input, the line-level input (Line in), we can already reach a sampling frequency of 192 kHz, also with 24-bit resolution, in single-channel mode.
By default, the card supports 5.1 channels, but with the Audigy FX V2 DBPro add-on card, which can be purchased separately, we get 7.1 channel sound, DSD256 support, and optical audio output in addition to the extra 3.5 mm Jack Audio port. If the separately available expansion card is also needed, then a second free PCI slot will also be required for the given housing. A motherboard port is not required, as the additional card is connected to the Audigy FX V2 with a PCIe x1 interface via a ribbon cable.
