Maharaja is a new version of the classic board game, with new components and graphics, and it can be played by 1-4 players. You have statues built in honor of the gods, because you want to please the Maharaja, and you also have an interest in collecting a lot of victory points.

Players assume the role of priests who visit different cities within India, where they build statues and shrines to please their favorite Gods and show the people the favor of these Gods. The game spans seven years, and at the end of the seventh year, the player with the most prestige wins.
