The Contec TP500 is an extremely easy-to-use, primarily body temperature measuring device.
The TP500 thermal camera can be operated in the range between 32°C and 43°C, with an accuracy of +/-0.2°C. Like its professional counterparts, it can be used to measure the temperature on the forehead, only the distance required for accurate measurement is shorter. The temperature measurement is based on the detection of infrared radiation from the body. Undesirable reactions and effects (poisoning, irritation, hypersensitivity reaction) do not occur with its use. It can display the measurement results in °C and °F (Fahrenheit). Its built-in memory can store 30 data. Its color TFT LCD display can visually indicate abnormal values.

From a distance of 5-15 cm in the case of a human body, the device can be operated with the following accuracy in this temperature range:

35 - 42°C - up to +/- 0.2°C

The device measures with a resolution of 0.1°C. Just one button press and the result (< 1 s) is immediately visible. The result is displayed to the operator in a digital, easy-to-understand manner with colorful backlighting.

As with all thermal cameras that perform precise measurements, it requires a lot of attention to take into account the environmental variables necessary for accurate operation. The temperature must be between +16°C and +35°C, while the ambient pressure must be between 700 and 1060 hPa.
