What is collagen?
Collagen is the primary connective tissue of our body, a key protein that ensures the cohesion and elasticity of the skin, cartilage and bones. It is also a structural building block of connective tissues, hair, nails, tendons, muscles, and joint cartilage. Collagen makes up 75% of our skin and 30% of the total protein mass of our body.
Why do we need collagen?
As time progresses, our body's collagen production slows down, then decreases and finally stops completely.
Why is it important for collagen to be hydrolyzed?
During hydrolysis, the chains of very long molecules of collagen are "cut", making them easily digestible and useful for the human body.
