COLIN FALCONER worked as a copywriter before becoming a freelance journalist and then writing television and radio screenplays. He traveled extensively in research on his novels, traversed the Silk Road, and even hunted witches in Mexico. More than fifty books have been published, and many of his historical novels have become a huge success in Europe. His works have so far been translated into twenty-three languages. Although he still has strong roots in his hometown of London, he now lives in Australia.
