Removes viruses, pollen, bacteria and other allergens, including tobacco odors. The Plasma filter cleans the indoor air from unpleasant odors created during cooking through a physico-chemical process. Dust particles, microorganisms (mold spores, dust mites, bacteria and viruses), cigarette smoke and disturbing odors are destroyed in their molecular structure by the ionization process, and then decompose into CO2 (carbon dioxide), O (oxygen) and a small amount of residual water.

BRUSHLESS motor

A brushless DC motor, also known as an electronically commutated motor, is powered by direct current through an inverter that produces alternating current to drive each phase of the motor through its closed-loop controller. This provides current pulses to the motor windings that control speed and torque. Essentially, carbon brushless motors typically feature a permanent magnetic field that rotates around an electronically controlled fixed armature, replacing physical carbon brushes and commutator components.

Without the friction and external dust caused by carbon brushes, brushless motors require minimal periodic maintenance, which allows them to be kept in a closed housing, reducing the entry of external dust and particles into the motor compartment that can endanger moving parts. Motors without carbon brushes show higher performance and lower energy consumption compared to their counterparts with carbon brushes.

Grease filter:

A metal grease filter can be found behind the folding glass deflector panel. To clean this, note the grease filter saturation indicator. The grease filter should be cleaned monthly, using hot water with washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher. If you do this approx. This filter only needs to be changed after 4-6 years.

HOB2HOOD (automatic connection)

CATA engineers have equipped certain hoods and hobs with a new function that creates a bluetooth connection between the two devices and automatically regulates the performance of the hood according to the intensity of cooking. This function is available for ISLA BENNUM, THALASSA and TENTA models, compatible with induction ceramic hobs INSB-6032, INSB-6030, INSB-6028.

Natural white or cold LED lighting

Thanks to the electronic control, the LED strip lighting can be used in two modes. The user can switch between natural white (2700K) and warm white (3000K) color temperature, thereby helping the hood to fit into the kitchen environment.
