    Product description

    These whole cinnamon sticks, packed in 25 g, are a fragrant spice for everyday cooking and baking. The paper-thin bark comes from young shoots of the cinnamon tree, native to Southeast Asia, and has been peeled and cleaned. Its strong aroma holds up well during cooking and boiling.

    Cinnamon works well in fruit soups, preserves, jams and compotes, as well as in apple, cherry and sour cherry cakes, strudels, sweet fillings, creams, gingerbread and doughnuts. It also flavours dairy dishes and can complement some roasted meats.

    The ingredients eugenol and coumarin can irritate the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines, so cinnamon should be eaten in moderation.
