BRESSER Pollux-II 150/1400 EQ3 telescope smart phone adapter and solar filter

Explore the beauty of the night sky with this complete set of binoculars. Everything is included to start the fascinating hobby of astronomy right away: the astronomical reflector telescope with an aperture of 150 mm and a focal length of 1400 mm, an equatorial stand and the necessary accessories for exciting observations. Especially important for beginners: using the telescope is very easy. The Moon, planets and Sun in particular look stunning through Pollux-II.

Take your first steps in astronomy with this classic "Newton" type reflector telescope. Since the focuser is equipped with an additional lens inside, it belongs to the group of so-called "catadioptric" optics. One of the advantages of the combination of lens and mirror: despite the long focal length, the telescope tube is relatively short and therefore easy to transport. With telescopes of this design, you don't have to look at the back of the telescope, but on the side. That way, you don't have to bend down, even if the reflector scope is pointing vertically up into the sky.

The large diameter of 150 mm collects a lot of light from celestial bodies. In addition, the 150mm aperture and 1400mm focal length (F/9.3) results in an aperture value (ratio of aperture to focal length). This allows us to view our favorite objects in high magnification and with good contrast. Admire especially the planets or the details of the moon through the telescope. But some deep-sky objects can also be observed very well: open star clusters, globular clusters and bright planetary nebulae, such as the M57 Ring Nebula in the constellation Lyra - are beautifully visible through this astronomical telescope.

The 150mm aperture provides a resolution that enables up to 300x magnification with sharp images. The technical possibilities go far beyond this - theoretically up to 1050x using the included accessories. However, as the magnification increases, the sharpness of the image may slowly decrease. In addition, suitable environmental conditions are also necessary for high magnification. Whichever telescope you are looking through, the air turbulence in the atmosphere (the viewing conditions) will always affect your observation and magnification options.

The two included eyepieces allow you to marvel at the objects to be observed with different magnifications. Their standard 1.25-inch (31.7 mm) diameter sockets allow easy insertion into the telescope focuser. Want to see even more details? Then choose the 3x barlow lens, which triples the magnification of the eyepieces.

If you want to make astronomical discoveries even during the day, use the solar filter to observe the stars of our own solar system. This allows easy and safe observation of sunspots.

CAUTION: Never point the telescope at the sun without the sun filter!

You can easily record special sights - with the smartphone adapter, you can use your smartphone as a telescope camera. So you can quickly take your first photos of, for example, the Moon or the Sun, and start astrophotography.
