Product description
In 1918, the young György Lukács published a work entitled Kiknek nem kleur et why the poetry of Béla Balázs, which was not only a sign of his alliance with his friend, but in the text the philosopher also calls for a renewal of the view of life, depth and the social world. The authors of the volume "Infinity of the Revolution" are sufficiently modest, but they think the same in the age of late modern political capitalism, and they send a message accordingly: György Lukács is needed.
In recent years, the personality, work and political thinking of the Hungarian philosopher have been smeared with a lot of plaster, which was done not only to the detriment of Hungarian political and philosophical history, but also with the intention of suppressing social theory, as well as left-wing, radical philosophy and political action. Thus, this volume is not only a reconstruction work, but the reader can also think through the actualized political and existential challenges during the presentation and purification of György Lukács' oeuvre and dilemmas. The reader's journey begins around 1918-1919, philosophical and revolutionary Marxism provides the framework for the volume. Until we get to the present, we can focus on the activities, steps and decisions of György Lukács in October 1956, as well as the appearance of Lukács' ideas in the minds and needs of everyday workers in Kádár.
In this journey, the reader is accompanied not only by Lukács, but also by Immanuel Kant, Oszkár Jászi, Herbert Marcuse, Ernst Bloch, Martin Heidegger, István Eörsi, Antonio Negri, Douglas Kellner, Chantal Mouffe, Slavoj ®iľek and even Peter Sloterdijk. Marx is at the beginning of the road, and hopefully at the end is the reader's self-challenge: Act! True left-wing political action is based on the legend of the revolution. Action is not possible without a political and social theoretical foundation and imagination.
According to the authors of the infinity of the revolution, starting from the philosophical and political-theoretical reconstruction of Lukács' oeuvre and ending with the presentation of the concreteness of contemporary political action, politics and life will be reborn.
