Ganoderma lucidum, i.e. seal wax mushroom, is one of the most prized mushrooms in Asia. In common parlance, it is referred to as the "queen of mushrooms", as it has been used in many areas of use for hundreds of years. Still little known in Europe, its possible beneficial effect on the healthy functioning of the immune system is currently being investigated.
