Beatriz Williams - A summer feleségek

Secrets and lies hold the island together. This summer, however, everything falls to pieces...

A cohesive community.

A forbidden love.

A summer that changes everything...

1951. Miranda's mother marries into one of the richest families on the stunningly beautiful Winthrop Island.

On the island near the coast of New England, there is a subtle tension under the surface between the rich families vacationing there and the Portuguese fishermen and domestic workers who "operate" the island.

When Miranda falls in love with Joseph, the good-looking son of the lighthouse keeper, this tension builds relentlessly until, at the end of the summer, it explodes in a way that changes everyone forever.
