The glass is placed in the socket so that it is completely perpendicular to the optical axis. The glass is homogeneous, thin-parallel (not only the insertion, the planes of the glass are also parallel), a smooth-surfaced, high-permeability, high-quality Schott optical glass that is tinted in its material.
