The AXIS Q1700-LE license plate camera is Axis' first dedicated license plate camera that can take sharp images 24/7. And thanks to its open platform, you get flexible integration with third-party analytics. AXIS Q1700-LE is therefore ideal for road and urban security, vehicle loitering such as suspicious movement, tracking cars or goods, and law enforcement purposes such as collecting forensic evidence or searching for stolen vehicles.

The AXIS Q1700-LE license plate camera provides clear and sharp license plates of vehicles traveling at a speed of 130 km/h day and night. Thanks to the built-in number plate recording assistant, the camera is easy to set up and the image settings are automatically adjusted to match the speed, installation height and vehicle distance for a given traffic scene. The rugged design ensures reliable operation in extreme weather conditions and hurricane-level winds. The camera is designed for use with third-party server or server-based software to perform license plate recognition and launch operations.

Designed for recording
AXIS Q1700-LE is specially designed for taking license plate images with exceptional clarity and sharpness. It has an excellent HDTV 1080p resolution and provides the pixel density required for the identification of license plates, as well as the marking of plates, for example the transport of dangerous goods. All cameras record traffic in one lane, up to 100 meters away during the day. Multiple cameras can be easily installed to cover multiple lanes. In pitch darkness, the camera records the number plate up to 50 meters away and up to 100 meters away with the optional AXIS T90D20 IR LED illuminator.

AXIS Q1700-LE includes a built-in license plate recording assistant that ensures easy setup for the best video performance. Simply enter the installation height, vehicle distance and expected speed and the license plate capture assistant will automatically adjust the image settings to perfectly match the scene.

This robust and weatherproof camera includes an extra-long long weather cap that provides protection in any environment. It can withstand hurricane winds of over 60m/s and with IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10 ratings, you can be sure it will withstand both extreme weather and impact. In addition, the gray color housing and black weather protection cap match any traffic environment.

AXIS Q1700-LE is compatible with AXIS Camera Station and most manufacturers' video management systems (VMS), allowing you to use analytics or other manufacturer's applications to meet your unique needs. You can choose edge or server-based software from any third-party vendor to perform additional analysis, such as license plate recognition or launch operations.
