The AXAGON RSS-CD12 internal frame is designed to replace an existing 12.7 mm CD/DVD drive. Designed for 2.5" SSD/HDD SATA drives. You can easily replace the optical drive in your laptop with a hard drive.

The SATA 6G interface enables speeds of up to 6 Gb/s offered by modern SSD disks. Due to the absence of complex electronics, it does not slow down the data transfer speed and supports all modern functions, such as TRIM. This reduction ensures wide compatibility with different notebook brands. The ODD frame can be set with a double switch, so it works with most notebook brands, such as LENOVO, HP, DELL, ASUS, ACER, SONY, TOSHIBA and others.

It is possible to use standard 2.5" SSD disks with a height of 7 mm, as well as 12.5 mm hard disks. The ODD mounting frame with the mounted disk behaves like a conventional hard disk in the operating system and BIOS (UEFI). disk, you can easily add an internal 2.5" disk to supplement existing notebook disks. Boot support can significantly speed up older notebooks by adding a 2.5" SSD disk.

The unique, screwless plate fixing system can be fixed with rubber spacers or rubber threaded plugs. The rubber plugs also help to minimize the vibration of the hard drive. Metal springs help secure the adapter in the optical drive bay. The body with a metal frame is made of aluminum and provides perfect mechanical protection for the inserted disc. The built-in HQ capacitor helps stabilize the SSD/HDD power supply. An elegant built-in LED indicates the insertion of the disc and the data transfer.
The package also includes a plastic front panel (front panel) that imitates the front panel of an optical CD/DVD drive. There are several mounting holes on the back of the reducer for fixing it in the body of the notebook.
