The Aqara U200 Smart Lock is a smart lock set consisting of an outdoor and indoor unit (or their fittings). The two units communicate wirelessly with each other. The cylinder lock indoor unit should be mounted on the side of the protected space and the keypad outside the door.

The U200 retrofit solution, ie, has a retrofitable design that allows problem -free installation to existing doors - without significant modification or renovation. Compatible with most European and North American doors, such as European cylinders, compatible with many types.

The U200 wants to bring a modern keyless lifestyle to a wide range of homeowners and tenants while preserving the possibility of using traditional keys. Users can enjoy simple access sharing, remote access control, and real-time lockup updates for greater comfort and safety. The Aqara U200 uses modern technical solutions that provide many secure access options for users. The door opening can thus come from fingerprints (50 samples), one-off and repeated PIN codes, remote or local access through mobile applications, sound aid commands, or AQara NFC cards.

Aqara is also working to add the Homekey support to the U200 lock, which can allow iOS users to simply open the door with a compatible iPhone and Apple Watch products.

The U200 is one of the first Matter-compatible locks, making it a future choice for users. The keypad (outdoor unit) can be operated with 4 AAA elements or 12-24V AC or DC Fix. The indoor unit operates with a Li-ion battery that can be refilled under a USB Type-C connection under the flipable decoration. Thanks to the energy-efficient Thread protocol, the U200 lock also offers a 6-month battery life (8 fingerprints/NFC resolution and lock cycle) between each charge. In addition, the wireless keyboard boasts an IPX5 classification and resists extreme heat and cold (-18 ℃ - 66 ℃), providing a wide application.

As an integral part of the home, the U200 smart lock works effectively with other smart home accessories, allowing users to create a fully automated and personalized smart home experience. For example, the Aqara App alarm features can be created when an U200 is opened by a family member or activates the indoor camera and video door bell after successive failed door opening attempts.

Use U200 Bluetooth or AQara Hub M3 to match Aqara Home. Compatibility with third-party Matter-compatible platforms (such as Amazon Alexa, Apple Home, Google Home, Samsung Smartthings, Home Assistant) is expected to appear in waves.

The Homekey resolution support is currently under development and is expected to be available with a subsequent OTA update after the lock has received a certain certificate.

The 6-month battery life is based on 8 fingerprints/NFC resolution and lock cycle daily.
