The HomePod mini is essentially a smaller HomePod, with the same knowledge, a newer processor, and a different internal design. This means that your sound will probably fill the room in the same way, we will get the 360-degree "feeling", but less intensively. There won't be as much bass, maybe sound, but I don't think the detail will change, obviously it's hard to say without a test, but based on Apple, we probably have no complaints.

The HomePod mini naturally has the usual upper touch panel, with which we can adjust the volume and control Siri. This panel also has colored LEDs, so we can see when Siri is listening to us.

Thanks to the S5 processor, the HomePod mini constantly analyzes the music and sounds being played, even before it is emitted by the speaker and we hear it. This means that Apple not only put one (actually several) speakers in a "box", which in return has a "box" sound, but the device also continuously optimizes the sounds in software. The S5 takes samples 180 times per second, and then uses advanced algorithms to optimize the speakers inside the HomePod mini for the music, so that we can meet the perfect music. According to Apple, this is currently unmatched in this segment.

The HomePod mini is also a smart home hub. HomeKit needs no introduction, Apple's system has been available on the market for years and is constantly evolving. Like all systems, HomeKit also needs a center so that we can control it remotely and the devices can be accessed. In the case of HomeKit, the accessories communicate via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, so it is important to have a device in the apartment that fulfills the role of the center. This can be, for example, an iPad, Apple TV, or HomePod or HomePod mini.

The HomePod mini can control our HomeKit-enabled devices with the help of Siri, such as lighting, door opening, blinds and so on... All you have to do is say "Hey Siri, open the blinds" and IKEA's smart blinds.
