USB chargers with USB A & USB C connectors for 12V and 24VDC power sources

The PowerVerter PVPro range of USB chargers has now been completely updated to the A & C range, which combines all the great design concepts of USB charging into one simple range. From now on, models with USB A and USB C connectors are also available, including single and double USB A connectors, as well as single USB C and combined USB A & USB C outputs.

In addition to the standard (rear mounting), all versions are also available with front mounting. This is a popular option when access to the rear mounting location is limited and also allows for quick removal and replacement if required.

Protection against the ingress of dust and water is provided by the IP30 standard. However, the PVPWP versions retain the slim design and provide enhanced IP65 protection (except for the USB connection). The robust PV65R versions also have IP65 protection and provide additional transient protection, so they are especially suitable for installation in vehicle walls.

Output performance has also been improved. For charging Apple and Android mobile phones, USB C models offer higher output current to support limited charging for tablets and laptops.

Standard versions require only 20mm (typical) of rear space and can be easily installed in the following locations: bus seat backs, walls and dashboards. The design allows for retrofit options for under-seat, tabletop and wall mounts.

Installation
Each unit can be installed through a 30 mm hole. Standard format units have a rear nut, while front fit units have a frame with a cover ring. The input and power supply are provided by two 6.3 mm, flat-fit, push-in 6.3 mm automotive connectors. In terms of dimensions, both USB A and USB C chargers are identical, they are the same size and can be interchanged with the increasingly popular PVPro product line. Electronically, the constructions include protection against reverse polarity and automatic short-circuit protection, so in the event of manipulation or compromise, the device stops and then restarts as soon as the fault is eliminated.
