Sponge handball is a preparatory game for playing handball. Its main goal is to make handball popular and practice regular exercise, as well as introduce the basic elements and rules of the game to children aged 7 to 10.

As the name suggests, sponge handball is played with special sponge balls that do not cause any negative experiences or injuries to children.

Children aged 7 and 10 are classified into 3 age groups: U7; U8-9; U-10;

The material of the balls (covered sponge) is the same for all three age groups, but their circumference and weight are different.
