Aeotec dual nano switch (ZW132) is a dual -channel, hidden, wall substrate or behind switch, Z -Wave relay module that allows wireless control and power consumption. Ideal for smarting old installations as you do not need to replace the switch.

ZW132 has two independent channels, max. 5 with (1150W) load capacity. Both channels provide accurate consumption measurement with a maximum error limit of ± 3W. The Z -Wave Plus Gen5 platform supports the OTA firmware update, an increased range (~ 150m) and AES -128 encrypted communication.

Due to its compact size (44.5 × 41 × 20mm) it can be hidden in a mounting box or behind a switch. It also fits into all conventional switch types - tilt, button or touch switch. It is capable of reporting momentary consumption (watt) and periodic energy use (kWh). In the case of a power failure, the non -forgetting memory retains all programmed information about the operation of the device. Aeotec Dual Nano Switch is a safe Z-Wave device and also supports the wireless (Over the Air, OTA) firmware update.

What is Z-Wave?

Z-Wave is an international wireless communication protocol for smart homes. Z-Wave provides reliable communication by confirming all messages (bidirectional communication) and all network-connected network power devices can act as a repetition for other devices. This is especially useful if the recipient is not within direct radio range compared to the sending device - thus creating a network (MESH) system. This device, as well as any other certified Z-Wave device, can be used with each other regardless of brand and manufacturing, provided they are suitable for the same frequency band.If a device supports safe communication, it also communicates safely with other means if they provide the same or higher level of security. Otherwise, the device automatically turns to a lower level of security to maintain backward compatibility.
