Our book celebrates afternoon tea, elegant dining, with recipes, historical facts and etiquette.

The more than 150 photos in the comprehensive guide have been selected from episodes of the series' five seasons, as well as from the 2019 feature film. The collection contains seventy mouth-watering recipes, thanks to which the reader can have tea just like the Granthams did in our much-loved series.

The foreword was written by Downton Abbey producer Gareth Neame. The volume provides an insight into the history of tea as a meal, discusses its origins and various versions. It presents in detail the etiquette followed by the English aristocrats while drinking tea, and also discusses the role that tea as a meal played in the series, upstairs and in the everyday life of the basement.
