AMD motherboards are available for two platforms: the current AM5 socket with DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0, and the proven AM4 socket with DDR4 memory. The chipset determines the features: the number of USB ports, M.2 slots, PCIe 5.0 support and overclocking options.
