Its operation

The MC210CS is a media converter that converts 1000BASE-LX/LH optics to 1000Base-T copper-based transmission or vice versa. Based on IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-LX/LH standards, MC210CS is designed to use single-mode fiber optic cables with SC type connection. The MC210CS supports the Long Wave (LX) laser specification at full wire transmission speed. It transmits and receives data with a value of 1310nm.

Another feature of the module is that it can be used as a stand-alone device, but it can also be installed in a 19-inch TP-LINK cabinet, with an auto MDI/MDI-X TX port and front panel status LEDs. The MC210CS transmits on the enlarged optical network, which can be up to 15 km in the case of single-mode optics.
