Its operation

The MC200CM is a media converter that converts 1000BASE-SX optics to 1000Base-T copper-based transmission or vice versa. Based on IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-SX standards, MC200CM is designed to use multimode fiber optic cables with SC type connection. The MC200CM supports the Shortwave (SX) laser specification at full wire transmission speed. It transmits and receives data with a value of 850 nm.

Another characteristic of the module is that it can be used as a stand-alone device, but it can also be installed in a 19-inch TP-LINK cabinet, with an auto MDI/MDI-X TX port and front panel status LEDs. The MC200CM transmits on the enlarged optical network, which can be up to 550 meters in the case of multimode optics.
